Popular demands for a four-cylinder Rotax 912 powered drifter has spurred the development of this amazing aircraft. Performance is astonishing; as it is one of the lightest aircraft powered by the tried & true 81 hp Rotax 912. The engine allows the aircraft to fly at very low setting, making for super-quiet operations and tremendous power reserves. Takeoffs are very short and climb rates/angles usher in a new standard of performace for the aircraft. Fuel efficiency is greattly improved, with gains on the order of 30%! Drifter MU 582UL
The MU582 was designed to handle the higher gross weights associated with specials applications such as floats flying and agricultural spraying. With close to 500 lbs. of useful load at its disposal, the MU 582 is the perfect choice for today's float flying. With the addition of the optional flap kit, the MU 582 becomes a supper STOL aircraft. The MU 582 comes with special rear attachments to make mounting floats easy. |
